true love- margo and brad

I am quite used to all different parts of my life colliding in this business, but this is a fun one! I met Margo my freshman year of college while she was still in highschool while I was a Young Life leader.  Margo and her group of friends were my first "younglife girls" and it was such a special time in my life!  I spent countless hours watching them play volleyball, basketball and softball out at Farmville High School...It's pretty much all there is to do in Farmville!  I will always remember those sweet times and I am so excited to be a part of this sweet time in her life, too!  I am so happy she met Brad and these two are so happy together.  Here are some of my favs from their engagement session.  Can't wait for next year!

I have loved getting to work with Emily and Penn! I am happy for them that their day has come and gone, but sad for me!  Joe and I were so blessed to be a part of their big day- and since Joe and Penn grew up together, it was fun to see so many familiar faces- and some we haven't seen in a LONG time!

Emily had a great vision for their wedding.  The reception took place at her home church, a baptist church "way out in the country" that her parents and grandparents attended as well.  The reception was at her home/family farm and had southern charm written all over it.  She wanted a lot of farm to table elements and it was pulled off just beautifully.  The favors came straight from the garden.  Some of the flowers came straight from the flower garden Emily herself grew...her dad ground the cornmeal and grits himself and the family restored tractor delivered the wedding party to the tent reception which was located right by the freshly cut corn field.  The place has so much meaning for Emily and her family-it was awesome to see everything pulled together around the farm for the celebration!  Even the old barn was the "alleyway" to the reception.  You all know I was in heaven!  Could not have asked for better weather in late September and for the amazing family and friends that came to celebrate.

Here are just some of our favorites from the day- and trust me it was hard to choose! Don't forget to watch the slideshow at the end for more photos as well.  Enjoy!

Ashley and her mom were some of my favorite clients I worked with all summer!  Of course beautiful hair and makeup by Mandy- our fabulous senior hair and makeup artist!  Ashley has an absolute heart of gold!  Such a sweet senior, I can't wait to see what the future holds for her!  We had a great time during our session and putting together her amazing senior products in the studio.  I can't wait to hopefully work with their whole family next!  Love them!  Here are a few of our favorites:)

Hope everyone has an amazing Friday!  We have 2! weddings this weekend, so prayers for this mama and her belly:)

Meet sweet baby boy Brody!  His parents, Cody and April, couldn't be more in love with their little peanut!  This darling little boy came just a tiny bit early and was a whopping 5 lbs 5 oz!  Such a little nugget!  Coming from the mom who had a 9 pounder, I am just in awe of his perfect little self!  April is one of my oldest friends and I can't wait to share this stage of life with her- bringing up BOYS!  Sharpe loves Brody already and I can't wait for them to grow up together + the next Hartsell boy, too.  Many fun adventures ahead!  Here are some of my favorites from his session- he was a perfect angel, sleepy the whole time, and I will say he has THE best coloring!  I love him!

This weekend was one of our last weekends off before we finish up our wedding season.  We originally had a wedding scheduled, but the super fun couple decided to elope!!  It did made for a nice break here in the middle of the chaos so we spent a lot of time getting our house organized for baby: cleaning out closets, organizing, making a Goodwill drop off and in general carrying out "Operation: Make All This Junk Leave My House".   We finally got Sharpe his big boy beds out of storage, got them painted and put up in his room- even though he is still in a crib that will transition to a toddler bed for the moment(I'm not quite ready to give up "baby jail").  It was nice to put his nursery furniture into the baby's room and start to get our head around what's going on in there. I can't wait to share Sharpe's Big Boy room!  The nursery never quite made the transition into this house the way it did when we designed it for the old house, so for me making up the big boy room was more exciting in this house than just putting his nursery back up when we moved.  All this to say, I think I may be more tired from all that we had going on around here this weekend than if we had shot a wedding!

This has been one amazing senior season!  My clients are absolutely the best!  Love making these seniors look like a million bucks(although that is probably the easiest job on the planet with how stinking cute they are).  Meet Kylee!  A total natural in front of the camera, I loved working with her! She wasn't sure about her "serious" face at the shoot, but turns out those were her most favorites and I have to agree!!!! What a beauty! Enjoy!
