We are in the thick of it again!  I swear just five minutes ago it was January!  Our wedding season is off to SUCH an incredible start!  I've said it before, but I'll say it again that we have THE BEST CLIENTS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!  These brides, MY brides, they make me happy.  These ladies are kind, generous, family loving, beautiful, caring…and so much sweeter than me(really, as Joe)!  I am thankful for them and thankful for this job which celebrates them and the loves of their lives.

Mary Catherine is just the sweetest darling you have ever met.  I've nicknamed her the Shelby Sweetheart:)  because she is just that!  Her family and friends SHOWED OUT to celebrate her and Ethan.  Here are some favorites from our bridal session together!  We chased rain, but managed to get our session in!  Her reception was at this same beautiful family property- most amazing! Can't wait to share!

Andrea and Steven's wedding day was a dream.  November can be so hit or miss, but their day was absolutely perfect in every way!  Sweet friends and family surrounded them in the beautiful chapel where they said I do and then the reception party didn't stop all night!  This wedding was another one of our "reunion" weddings- so many of our past brides/bridesmaids/people we have come to know and love were there!  That always makes things doubly fun! (if thats even possible).  Love these two, their love and devotion to each other and I am honored we got to spend this important day with them!  Here are some favorites and their photo-fusion video, do check it out! Happy Friday!

I can't believe winter is officially over and we are back in wedding season!  Did that feel like just a minute to anyone else?!  Well if you have been enjoying the weather(pollen aside) the last couple of days, you know that yesterday was a dream day to get married!  I think everyone in the wedding party + guests were just pinching themselves for such a beautiful day, when just a few days ago, it was a 90% chance of rain.  We couldn't have kicked off our season ANY better than a blissful carolina day with sweet, sweet people in love at one of the finest venues in Charlotte- The Duke Mansion.  I can't wait to show a peak of their wedding later in the week! (determined to keep this blog current after getting so off track this past fall!).  Maggie and Brian's wedding was all the loveliness you can imagine.  For now, here are just a FEW of my favorites from her bridal session we shot out at the Mansion.  Happy Sunday!

Al of Maggies Jewelry + mink were her grandmothers.  I love when brides incorporate sweet sentiments from their family into their bridal look.  What a way to cherish memories of the ladies married before you.

This past fall was one big reunion for Lindsey Lee Photography- we had so many past brides/grooms that were in previous weddings we had shot!  It made for a one big party every weekend- we had a three weekend run with all sorts of folks we know and love from past weddings.  Greg had been in two weddings that we shot, and Morgan had been a bridesmaid in one- so it was finally their turn and it was so exciting to have everyone together!  Their wedding was held at River View Stables in Advance, NC.  The day turned out freezing/raining/windy...which I know was not ideal but they ran with their rain plan and everything couldn't have turned out more perfectly!  That s huge part of enjoying your wedding day- rolling with the punches and not sweating the small stuff!  Morgan was a beautiful bride and we loved getting to work with these two.  I'm sure our paths will cross again, soon!

This shot was taken right after the crazy wind totally made off with Morgan's veil!

We had the extreme pleasure of shooting not only 1, but 2!! weddings for Niyati and Shane!  After shooting their wedding in Ithaca, NY we shot their Indian Wedding in Raleigh, NC the next weekend!  These two are probably sick of us;) but we just love them to death!  I love that amazing colors and traditions surrounding their Indian Wedding.   There was eye candy everywhere we looked!  It was fun to be part of this celebration-Niyati had two amazing outfits (Shane, yours weren't too shabby, either!) and she is still my muse.  Niyati has the absolute best skin of anyone I have ever shot and I happen to think that Red is her color (although I am sure she wants it to be purple!)  Have a peak at their special day- I love the vibrancy and the beauty of all of it!  Have a peak at their fusion at the end, too!  Happy Weekend everyone!

  1. Niyati:

Incredible!!! You are truly gifted! My mom was hoping the picture of her with you from the reception would make the cut for the blog ;) I am picking that to go in her album for sure. We love you guys & your work so much. Blog stalker alert.
