The Hartsell Christmas Card 2012

 
 

I love my baby...I love my dog.  I love making our Christmas card!  Last year was a little bit of a bust as far as our Christmas card went.  I was about-to-pop-pregnant around the time a family card should have went out....so we decided to forgo a Christmas card(did I mention I was also super grumpy and super swollen and pretty much hating life?) for Sharpe's birth announcement which went out right after Christmas.  I knew this year I really wanted to make up for it!

Drumroll please........The Hartsell Christmas card 2012!

We used a Luxe Folded card- these cards are the best! Here's the digital copy and then the hard copy.  Our sweet Darby-bear was a trooper as always and didn't mind us torturing her for the better part of an hour.  Later I will do a couple of the outtakes where she was giving the stink eye to us for tying an antler to her head.  She makes the best reindeer!

We would like to thank the following people for their contribution to the card:  hobby lobby, wyoming, an elk, hillsville flea market, my mom, sleigh bells, Gena- my wonderful client for the hat and shoes(which I found the matching outfit to go with...a major inspiration for the shoot), goldendoodles everywhere, and the grinch.

This year was full of so many beautiful seniors!  Many more to come, but we will start with Alexis:)  Loving her dark hair!  I have to say, I have the most darling seniors in the whole world!  Now booking for summer 2013(class of 2014 seniors), so definitely get in touch with me about getting on the books for next year!  Happy Wednesday!

I promised to blog every day this week and I WILL keep that promise!  First up are Sarah and Neil.  Engagement sessions are so fun to shoot!  Couples in love, there is nothing better!  I really enjoy getting to hear about the wedding plans and all that is going into creating their special day.  I am SUPER sad not to be shooting Sarah and Neil's wedding....they are getting married in Michigan, but live here in Charlotte.  They are so fun loving and adorable together and I know they will have a perfect wedding day.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and a happy Monday!

My clients are amazing.  Their spirits, their love, their families. I love them.  Katy and Marc had such a beautiful wedding and Joe and I were thankful to be there.  The fall was SO kind!  The weather could not have been more amazing and Vanlandingham Estates is one of the best venues in Charlotte.  PLEASE check it out if you are still venue shopping!

We have been in Christmas Card Chaos around here with all of our fall sessions, but it did my soul good to sit down and make this post.  Couples like Marc and Katy are EXACTLY why I have the best job in the world!  Thanks you two for being SO amazing!  Enjoy photos of their beautiful day!

A Sneak + announcing the next workshop date!

 
 

I can't believe it has been so long since we had our last workshop!!  We held one right after the baby was born, and then things got so crazy with weddings we weren't able to get another on the calendar...so we are so pumped to finally made a date happen!  Joe and I get so excited about teaching folks how to use their cameras and GET OFF GREEN. You aren't using your camera to it's full potential...and you don't even know it yet!  Don't worry, we are here to help!:)

The DETAILS:

February 9th. 9AM-12:30PM

*This is a beginner photography DSLR workshop.  Any kind.  Just as long as it is an Digital SLR.
*What if you don't have a digital SLR? Borrow one and come join the fun! The class is for people who have never "gotten off green" when using their camera to those who have read the manual but still don't completely understand what the heck an f/stop is. We will get you off of green and completely in manual mode. We will cover tricks of the trade and all the little helpful hints to help you get great photos of your kids, vacations, sports, family time, etc! It is not a class to become a professional photographer or for those who already have or work with a photography business(mentoring sessions are available, shoot me an email!)
*There will be lots of one on one time and plenty of time for questions- then we will all practice what we have learned with a LIVE model.

*Tuition is $150 and spots are limited. Spots are confirmed when tuition is received.
