" So, basically, you are in love." Yup, I call my friends out like that:) I am so happy that my dear friend Katie has met the man of her dreams!!! When 2010 started, I know she had no clue she would end the year engaged, and that is what has made their love story so awesome. It all started with a trip to NYC, a mutual friend, and the rest was history! I am pumped for Katie and Haskell's wedding this summer.....it is bound to be a par-tay with lots of familiar faces and even some past LLP brides. I can't wait! As I was going through their sessions I couldn't help but think how perfect their future kids teeth are going to be. I even pointed it out to Joe as he looked over my shoulder. He cares about things like that, I promise. Those are some great chompers, you two! Enjoy!

Beautiful!! Love the library idea and the cozy quilt picture especially. Congratulations!

I don't really even know where to begin when it comes to describing shooting a traditional Thai wedding. It was such an amazing experience that it really is hard to put into words. The chance to go all the way to Thailand and to get to be a part of Bae and Brett's day was incredible. We were treated like special guests by Bae's family and had a great time being two of the seven Americans there ( I think that everyone thought Brett and Joe were related, and now think all American's are over six feet tall). Not only do we love Brett's parents, but we also love his grandparent's who made the trip as well. Such fun and amazing people. We shot their wedding day- which included a traditional thai ceremony and a more western styled reception, and a day after session. While the wedding day was kind of set, the day after session we had free reign to take as many photos in as many different locations as we wanted- so it was incredibly awesome to explore Bae's town and get some amazing shots. Those to come later in the week!

There are so many different moving parts to a traditional wedding ceremony. First there are the monks, and their blessings, then Brett had a parade(really. my favorite part), then all of the loved ones tie strings onto the bride and groom giving them a special blessing. I could describe each of these parts in detail, but since I don't want to get it wrong I will leave it at that:) Here is a look at their wedding day!

True Love- LeAnn & Eric

I would say this girl is totally gorgeous and totally knows how to work the camera, but seeing as how if I was 5 ft tall and had long hair we would look the exact same, then that would maybe be a wierd thing for me to say. So instead I will just say I love her. and I love Eric. We knew my sis would find someone great- and 5 years ago she did! They made it through her law school and his masters and CPA courses(yea, they are totally a power couple), so when the engagement came in September we could not all be more excited. I am pumped for the wedding day, but I am also super pumped for LeAnn's bridal portraits. I die at her dress. Really, I do.

It is actually pretty ridiculous my amount of favorites, so I just went for it and posted "most" of them.

Eric, you go boy.

I really think LeAnn looks like my mom in the photo above. And me. Joe thinks she looks like my Granmaw Fran.

Let's all just have a moment of silence for this amazing red swing coat......

I managed to not be too stressful of a photographer and sister during this shoot. The same week I took shots of LeAnn and her partner Hilary(to come soon) so that shoot was a little more stressful where I was fussing at LeAnn to do her real smile, that her hair wasn't cooperating, and that her eye kept closing. It actually ended up being great practice for this session!:) She had her skills down pat....and Eric, he was just his studly self. He's a natural so I didn't have to yell at him any;)

This shot belongs in Ruggedly Sexy Magazine(ok, so that's not real publication, but still)

We Are So BLESSED To Have LeAnn Be A Part of Our Lives & Family. WE LOVE YOU ERIC & LEANN. We Wish You The BEST!

Darby had her first Christmas! I have been meaning to post this WAY before now, but it was lingering on a camera card somewhere and I just dug it out. She was the best bear last year...she was house trained, crate trained, and learned all sort of new tricks all before Christmas! I am going to post a video of her jumping through her hula hoop on my facebook fan page very soon. It is the most hilarious thing I have ever seen! This girls got a killer vertical! The family really spoiled her, she got lots of presents including a new duck, her favorite toy. And- word on the street is that she made the wall of fame at Petsmart for being the youngest puppy to balance a treat on her nose without eating it, all at about 15 weeks old. We are such proud parents!

I am getting all nostalgic looking at this pic- remember when she was this big? Here she is at her first Christmas!! Happy Wednesday!
