This morning, with the first frost advisory of the winter in effect, Brandi, Brandon and I set out to do their loveshoot! They are in town for a wedding...you may have heard about it if you frequent my blog often....yes, that's right, Leah's wedding! It is this Saturday! Brandon is Leah's older brother and he and Brandi are in town for all of the wedding festivities.
It was such a pleasure to be a part of Molly and Joe's special day on Saturday. Not only are they two of the sweetest people I have ever met, their family and friends were a joy to be around too!
Meeting each other in high-school, and carrying their relationship through college...being in two different states, two different grad schools, two different cities for work...and finally landing jobs in the DC area where they could be together, Molly and Joe truly have a love affair that will last a lifetime. If they can survive six years of separation they can survive anything!
Molly had all of the details of this wedding covered! I love the little touches that she gave to their day. My obsession would have to be the little purses she had made for each of her bridesmaids ( and mother and mother of the groom) that were each unique. She got them off of ETSY (if you have not heard of this site... look at photos below, then go directly to check it out) She also had the girls made these necklaces that were the same but different, too. So cute!
I met Molly in Monroe a couple of weeks ago for her bridal session. People ask me all of the time what is my favorite type of thing to shoot....of course, I love weddings, it's at the top of the list, but if I had to pick the thing that is the least stressful and the most fun, I would have to say bridals. I love getting to be there when the bride gets to see what she is going to look like on her wedding day- usually for the first time. I love having the freedom and flexibility to get that beautiful bride in all sorts of fun spots and locations.
There were many spots on our bridal shoot and I had favorites from all of them! We headed first to where Molly and Joe were to have their rehearsal dinner. It was an awesome old house that has been renovated. We shot on the grounds and also some inside- it was too beautiful to resist. I can't wait to show you more of their wedding photos this week! In the meantime though, check out Molly and her quiet confidence that radiates from these pictures.
At the end of our shoot we went to a field by Molly's house where she played a lot growing up. These ended up being some of my favorites!
