Love getting to spend time with Ethan and Mary Catherine! We met on her family farm, where the wedding reception will actually be held next spring. It was great to get out there- what an amazing piece of property! Rolling hills and a sweet pond, I know friends and family will love celebrating here! Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy some sunshine and spring on this gray day!
There are so many areas of my life that have come full circle since I started my photography business (people can definitely check it out here on the best business related advice)- and seeing old friends is one of the things I have loved most about this job. Photography has allowed my to re-connect with so many amazing ladies that I have known throughout my life and from so many different stages and times. Some of my brides I have known since high school, or they went to school with my sister/cousins, some from college, some from my days as a Young Life leader at ECU/Cabarrus County/Rowan County. Each of these connections brings something so special to my relationships with my clients/friends. Andrea I knew from the time she was a sophomore in high school. I am reminded of football games, volleyball games and just a really sweet time with her and her group of girl friends that I came to know as a YL leader. Seems like an eternity ago! I love seeing all the successes Andrea has had since that time- and this HUGE success, finding a true love! They are adorable. Truly. We had a blast on our shoot. One thing I love about Andrea is that she really celebrates other people...when I would show her photos on the back of the camera...instead of picking herself apart, or being worried about her hair....she immediately just looked at Steven and was oohing and ahhing over him(as Steven dies at this memory going public;)). But really, it was just perfectly sweet- and that really sums them up. Here are some favs. I went overboard, and was having a love affair with Black and Whites today, so threw lots of those in there, too. Happy Thursday!\n\n

I hope you all enjoyed the CRAZY weather we had! It was perfectly timed in this house- Joe had extra days off of work which was much appreciated by this sleep deprived mama. Sharpe has been sleeping 12+ hours a night for well over a year, so doing the late night feedings is definitely wearing us(me) out! With Joe off work, there's on feeling guilty about making him get up with me:) Although we are all ready to get out of the house and just do SOMETHING, it was great to have a few more unplanned days home as a family to settle into our new schedule. Wait, do we have a schedule!?! Well, not quite, but we are working on it:) Back to the snow...we have only lived in this house less than 2 years and this is the first big snow- so it was fun to walk out to the "big hill" with ALL of the neighborhood and take Sharpe on a few runs on the sled he got for Christmas. First we had to FIND all of the snow clothes! Sharpe loved it, but in his little outfit he was like a walking marshmallow! But so stinking adorable! Make sure to follow me on instagram where I post lots of personal photos(you've been warned): @lindseyleepics. You can see him there looking as adorable as possible.
Back to catching up on all of my blog posts...Meet Mary Chandler and Will! After working so hard to get our schedules aligned, only to have it be HORRIBLE weather the day of our shoot...we were finally able to get together in December, and boy did we luck out with some pretty sunshine and mild temperatures. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in July! I just love these two! I am so lucky to have such wonderful couples- they truly are all so wonderful and these two are no different. They have been dating since high school, and you can tell they are just meant to be together. This is what makes my job easy! When two people have such a magical connection, they are just themselves and I get to be there with my camera. Love it! Happy Saturday!
I can't wait to celebrate this fall with Danielle and Drew! 2014 holds some amazing weddings- and I know theirs is going to be top of the list! We had such a fun and laid back time on our session. Ya'll probably get tired of me writing the same thing over and over about my amazing couples- but it's just so true! My clients are the best of the best- fun and an absolute pleasure to be around. I count them all as friends and D+D are no different! Love getting to capture this special time in their lives! Here are some of my favorites from our engagement session we shot this fall. Happy Monday!
Back to blogging all of the amazing shoots I had this fall! Meet Fran and Nick. I can't wait to shoot their wedding this year! I met them in Emerald Isle for their engagement session...and wow- love the stuff we were able to get! They had done their homework and we went on a nature walk (pretty much the most exercise I've had in the last 10 weeks...so let's just say I was a little lagging behind these two avid outdoorsmen!) and the marsh and beauty of the sound were the perfect backdrop. Afterward we headed to the beach and although it was chilly, I just love the sweetness of these shots. Their sweet pup was a dream, she just hung out with us and performed right on queue. I love going to new places- I always find them inspiring. Check out these two lovebirds!
