I have been itching to share these beautiful images from Jenn and Chris's amazing wedding shot at Rose Hill Plantation.  To say I love this venue is the understatement of the year.  I mean,  I LOVE this venue.  We got there early because after shooting Jenn's Bridals on site,  I knew my history nerd husband would want to look around the history laden place...and of course he was in heaven. He pretty much knows the whole life history of Rose Hill now. I'm sure he'd love to tell you about it if you wanna know!  Future Rose Hill Brides....call me;)

I haven't seen a bride as nervous as Jenn in quite a while. All brides are anxious, yes, but Jenn was so sweet with her pre wedding nerves.  After she and Chris did their "first touch"(where a bride and groom talk or touch without seeing each other) and read sweet notes the other had written, it was like her nerves left the room. Chris is her rock...and when he's around, she's just herself. They are darling together!!  They both have this very gentle spirit, and it is such a breath of fresh air.

With photo opportunities for days, breath taking views and amazing staff...it was the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Hand picked music set the mood of their ceremony and reception and I just loved the bridesmaid dresses. I don't think I've seen this color in forever, if ever, and it was so pretty!  Here are some favorites- too many to pick.  Enjoy!

Love Joe's ring shot.  Peonies in perfect bloom.

Why didn't someone tell Joe to write me a sweet note before our wedding?! (oh yea, could be we got married in 90-something days from engagement to wedding).  But still.  I wish I had a sweet memento like that!  I can just see all of these sweet brides holding on to their wedding day notes and showing kids and grandkids.  Amazing.

We loved getting to know Kate and Steven!  We had a blast at their intimate Pinehurst wedding!  They got married right before the US Open, so it was fun to be in Pinehurst when everyone was buzzing around getting ready.  Their wedding did have a first for the record books for us…there was a Tornado warning the whole day!  This did throw their ceremony plan for a loop as it had to then be moved under the porch of the Carolina Hotel, but everything still turned out just perfect!  Enjoy some of our favorites!

I get to say this a lot this year....but it's true!  There is no greater compliment in this business than to shoot the wedding of a sibling of a past bride or groom. We've had this privilege many times now, and every time we walk into one of these weddings, it's like celebrating with family.  Getting to know Katie so much more after knowing Chadd and his family so well for a number of years was icing on the cake. I love these two!

This wedding was a long time in the making. I mean a really long time! Chadd has loved Katie since early in high school but they had to get through college and first jobs and then finally the time was right to tie the knot! Katie, a straightforward and honest girl after my own heart, surprised even herself with the emotions she felt on her wedding day! This was probably my favorite part of the day: seeing Katie be overwhelmed with love for Chadd and all of the excitement of being a bride hitting her all at once.  Chadd is as standup as they come and at the reception, a special surprise dance with his aunt "Mer" had even me in tears. It was that sort of day...full of surprising emotion coming out of the joy everyone felt for these two.

Enjoy some of our favorites...we love anytime we can get out to Irish Creek as well! Look for their fusion video to come soon, too! Happy viewing!

This was the original cake topper from her grandmothers wedding! LOVE!

Apparently we've been on the "plantation" circuit lately...and I love it!!! Margo and Brad had the most beautiful wedding at Myrtle Grove Plantation. The second we pulled up, I knew Joe and I would be in heaven!  The owners have a flair for history and antiques, and you could spend hours just looking at all of their collections.  From tiny little bitty old trophies in the guests bath(like, so many little trophies!) to pig shaped cutting boards in the kitchen(ton of pig shaped cutting boards, but in the most cool way!), this property is simply amazing and a beautiful place to get married.

A HUGE tree was the backdrop of their minute long( ok 4.5 minutes) ceremony that was just perfect! These two wanted to get married...Fast! Ha:) I think it even beat Joe and I's record of an 8 minute ceremony(our own wedding)!!  Margo and Brad had already planned to go camping for a few days for their honeymoon, and Brad surprised Margo by renting an awesome airstream!!! He gave it to her right before the wedding so we could take photos with it. What a fun surprise!!!! We loved it!

All of Margos family made homeade pies and cakes- and they were to die for! We've been trying REALLY hard not to eat cake every.single.weekend.  But these pies and cakes were made with so much love, we just HAD to!  We had so much fun with the wedding party shooting around the cool venue and Margo was truly a vision. There's just something about a dark haired bride that kills me(in the best possible way!).  She put so many personal touches on the day and all of her hard work paid off!  Everything was absolutely beautiful!

Here are some photos of their big day!! Thank you guys for letting Joe and I tag along on the most important day of your lives:) We love you!!
