We’re back!

 (2 of 5)

Whew! 2 weeks and one cancelled flight later we are back in the land of cowboy boots and southern drawls. At the airport, when I saw camo in Charlotte, I was actually excited because it solidified that we were indeed back in the south! 40 hours trying to get home will do that to you!

I really have no words to explain how amazing our time was together on our trip. No phones, just each other and some amazing places. I will be sharing more in detail and showing lots of pictures here on the blog- but for now, here are just some snapshots of what is to come!
First there was Rome (so much to see, so little time)...
Then Venice (my personal favorite)...

On to the Cinque Terra (a sleepy little region)...

Florence (where The David lives)...

and finally Sienna (under the Tuscan sun)

Can't wait to share more after all I crawl out from under the laundry and the email.

Italy Bound!

Joe and I head out in the morning (weather permitting!) for our first real out of town adventure as man and wife! There are so many things I look forward to sharing about this trip with you all! However, as I was sitting here trying to figure out how to automate response my emails- I am pretty sure everyone in my email box got the automated message 5 (or possibly more, it's hard to tell) times. For anyone of you who got my messages 5+ times, I am SOO sorry! Just when I think I am I am getting the hang of this whole computer thing! I feel like such a dud!

If you need immediate assistance while I am away about wedding date availability- please shoot my lovely assistant LeAnn an email: leannll@gmail.com and she will get back with you!
Ciao!

Bittersweet Memories

This past week has been one full of bittersweet memories. Last Sunday Joe and I celebrated our 1st anniversary. We have already made so many memories together and I can't wait for more. I have been so blessed with an amazing husband who is nothing short of a saint.
On Tuesday, though, we lost my great grandmother Helen very suddenly. She was just short of her 92nd birthday this month. She wasn't sick...she didn't suffer...it all happened very fast and for that I am grateful...but we miss her and were not ready to lose her. I am very lucky to be my age and have been able to spend so much time with a great grandmother. Both Joe and I are especially blessed by this last year when we bought a house across the street from my grandparents, where Helen also lived. She was a firecracker, and everyone knew it! Thanks to so many of you who have comforted our family in the past couple of days. Take time to love on the ones you love.
