We can't believe it!  Our little boy is FINALLY here.  I say finally, because, of course, he made us wait a week past his due date to come...and that was only because they scheduled his delivery.  Otherwise, I don't know if he would have ever decided to leave his comfy home of 9 months!  Sharpe Scott Hartsell came on Monday at 11:26am and weighed 8 lbs and 13 oz and was 21.5 inches long.

After having contractions for over 24 hours, I was admitted for my induction Sunday night which led to an un-planned C section on Monday morning.  All that to say, I have not been able to be as up and about as I had originally thought.  My grand ideas of all the photos I was going to take was definitely hindered by the fact that I was #1, completely and utterly exhausted from being up for two nights in a row before having him...and #2, that I couldn't even leave the bed for the first 12 hours of his life.  We(Joe) did take TONS of HD video that we are going to put together which I am really excited about, but my job was the still shots, and honestly that many just didn't happen at the hospital and since being home I have been on pain and baby management.  We hope to have his official newborn photo shoot sometime in the next day though since the weather is going to be so mild and I am finally feeling a little more normal.

For now, here is one shot I did get in the hospital.  I can't wait to take more where you can see his little face better.  He is just so cute!  We are completely taken with our little Sharpe and are so thankful to the Lord for a healthy and happy baby boy.  Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged and celebrated with us.  We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives that care about us and it means SO much!

Soooooo adorable! Congrats to the whole family- what a Christmas gift……. love to all of you-

I am working through blogging all of my Christmas Card mini-sessions over the next few weeks.  I have the amazing pleasure of getting to capture some pretty stellar families!  The Cote's are no different- beautiful and super stylish...especially thanks to daughter Chelsea who helped to coordinate everyone without being too matchy matchy.  We had perfect weather this particular mini-session day and I love that they now have gorgeous family photos together, something every mom wants...no matter how old the kids are!   Happy viewing!

And for those of you who are wondering...yes, my due date was yesterday...and yes I am still pregnant.  That is all I have to say about that.

Christmas Buddies

Since I am STILL pregnant I might as well catch up on my blogging- which, by the way, I have TONS of things to get up on here!  We are pretty much just waiting at this point on our little boy.  All the Christmas presents have been bought AND wrapped, the house is clean, the dishwasher has been ran, so now only if our little guy would decide to make his big appearance that would be super.

Oh man how I love these two little munchkins!  I am so glad I got their session in before I was too gigantic to get on the ground anymore- which did inevitably happen.  Gena and Marc make awfully pretty babies and I just love taking their photo.  In fact, I ordered one just like them:)  Enjoy these cuties! If they don't get you in the holiday spirit, I don't know what will!

Still here. Still pregnant.  Yup, we are officially T-7 days until my due date.  We are super excited(but surely over being pregnant!)!!!!   Lots of folks have asked about my doing a maternity leave.  I will not be taking an "official" maternity leave, more like a "laying low" time, so still feel free to email me with questions concerning wedding coverage and session information.  Just give me a tad more time to respond than usual- we will have our little buddy here just in time for Christmas!

Before I go a little missing in action, I was bound and determined to get another D-SLR Workshop on the books.  The next class will be February 11, 2012.  This February class last year was completely booked, so be sure to reserve your spot today.  It is the perfect time to learn the camera you are going to get for Christmas!  It is a great class to learn how to take amazing photos of the people and things in your life that you love.  You have the camera, now let Joe and I teach you how to use it!!

Here is what you need to know about the workshop:

*This is a beginner photography DSLR workshop.
*What if you don't have a digital SLR? Borrow one and come join the fun! The class is for people who have never "gotten off green" when using their camera to those who have read the manual but still don't completely understand what the heck an f/stop is. We will get you off green and completely on manual mode. We will cover tricks of the trade and all the little helpful hints to help you get great photos of your kids, vacations, sports, family time, etc! It is not a class to become a professional photographer or for those who already have or work with a photography business(mentoring is available, shoot me an email!)
*There will be lots of one on one time and plenty of time for questions- then we will all practice what we have learned with a LIVE model.
*Tuition is $150 and spots are limited. Spots are confirmed when tuition is received.
*If you would like to reserve a spot, email me at lindseyleelancaster@gmail.com.
*The class can be given as a gift.
*Location: Downtown Concord.  9am-12:30pm
Ok on to these cuties!!!!!  I told you I had the best Christmas Card Mini-Sessions this year, and I wasn't lying!  This family is adorable!  These two little twin boys keep their mom and dad on the go, but I know they wouldn't have it any other way.  Loved getting to finally take your picture!

Hello hotties! Mom and dad, go you!
