Baby Love- Elliot

 (7 of 10)

You may remember Mat and Katie from their Bellyshoot from a couple of months ago. You know, she was the one that captivated all of you with her georgious eyes and amazing confidence...yea, her. We love her. She now hangs on a canvas in my office. She will forever be pregnant in Lindsey Lee Photography land.

But the baby did come! Saturday their precious little gift arrived and I headed over yesterday to capture their new family as they figure out this crazy new journey together. Katie looks amazing and calm...Mat looks frazzled:), but in all of that they have this new little bundle that is absolutely perfect. I mean perfect- these two people who loved each other now have this new person to love and care for. This is how we know that there is a God that loves us. This is a four day old baby. This is a miracle.

photoshoot over. baby hungry. but seriously, how can you not love even this cry face?

Emily and Aaron were married at the beautiful St. Mary's Chapel in downtown Charlotte. How it works at St. Mary's is that you rent the chapel by the hour- and there was a wedding before theirs- so we all showed up right before go time!

It was a candle-lit ceremony and they were surrounded by close family and friends. Emily and Aaron were married by her grandfather, which was absolutely touching and heartbreaking all at the same time. We didn't get to do many shots before the ceremony, but I was OBSESSED with Emily's look. She had vintage-chic NAILED. I think you will see what I mean. Enjoy just a few favorites.

this bride and gown are beautiful

Another beautiful senior! Meet Jaz. Besides being young, fun and fabulous....she is Wake-Forest or some other amazing college-bound! Go Jaz!

I don't want to hurry life away- or hurry away summer....but boy is it exciting to not be shooting in 97 degree weather. We had the perfect day for her shoot and I had lots of fun locations picked out. You will also notice a new fun chair I got at the Hillsville flea market (oh flea markets, how I love thee). That's a whole other blog post- but I sure was excited to use it with Jaz and it happened to go perfectly with one of her outfits.

I am always amazed with the grace and poise my clients have, and Jaz is no exception. She will captivate ya- watch out! Enjoy!

True Love- Laura and Jeremy

 (2 of 10)

They went to Hawaii for business...they went skydiving.....they landed and he proposed(ring taped in the pocket the whole time)! That's their story- and how fun is that!?!
I am a wimp, well not really a wimp, but I am definitely not a thrill seeker. So the thought of going skydiving(never in a million years) and then the thought of having the guts to propose right after- that's more than I can handle- but I absolutely love Jeremy and Laura's engagement story. I am so excited about their wedding next May and this past weekend we did their engagement pictures.
And...because it's Tuesday....and because I have made you wait for a blog update...and because I have so many more blog goodies...and because this shoot had the most amazingdeliciousyummy light ever I am going to give a SUPER preview! Enjoy!

Carolina Bride: Marella

 (1 of 12)

You look beautiful!....Congratulations!...When's the big day!?....these are the things Marella heard as we tromped across the campus of Elon University for her bridal shoot. She was quite the beauty walking across a campus full of sweatpants and leggings.

Her big day is next month- but sadly I was already booked for that day! I am so glad she still hired me to do her bridals. Marella threw all caution to the wind in her dress and was all smiles the whole time. She has one of those infectious smiles...I would find myself smiling just because she was! My face hurt afterwards from the fun we had! Here are just a couple of my favorites from our time together.

Marella's dorm room was right near this arch when she went to Elon and she said she saw many a bride pose for their bridals near it. There was something very serendipitous about that to me.
