I am so excited to announce the next workshop date! Joe and I will hold the next workshop on February 12th, 2011. The class is limited to the first 15 people and spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis. We hope to hold a couple of these in 2011, so if you don't get in this time, still email and I will add you to a mailing list to be the first to know for the next one.

Here is what you need to know:

*The class will be from 9am-1pm with lunch provided

*This is a class for beginner DSLR users. What if you don't have a digital SLR? Borrow one and come join the fun! The class is for people who have never "gotten off green" when using their camera to those who have read the manual but still don't completely understand what the heck an f/stop is. (if you are reading this and don't know what an f/stop is, this class is for you, too:)) It is not a class to become a professional photographer, but for those of you that just want to take better pictures with that fancy camera you have and actually understand what you are doing.

*There will be lots of one on one time and plenty of time for questions- then we will all practice what we have learned with real LIVE models.

*Tuition is $150 and limited to 15 people. Email me at lindseyleelancaster@gmail.com to hold your spot. I will email you back reserving your spot and will then confirm with you when the tuition is received. Due to the size and nature of the class, the tution is non-refundable.

*location TBD in the Concord/Kannapolis area.

I can't wait to meet the next bunch of workshop attendees! You can see more about the last workshop HERE. And because no post is any good with out a photo- here is a sneak peak at my 2nd Sarah's bridal portaits and coming up next is the first Sarah and Jr's wedding photos!

The Workshop

This past Saturday was the first ever Lindsey Lee Photography WORKSHOP. I had such a blast teaching some amazing women how to operate their DSLR's. I held The Workshop at The Loft at 14th, a great new venue that my friend Meredith owns and runs in downtown Concord. It is so fun and snazzy and I loved holding the event there- it was absolutely perfect! I was really nervous going into The Workshop(nervous that I would be lame, not know what I was talking about, and not know the answers to anyones questions), but everyone that came was so awesome and such great "students":) If you would like to be added to the mailing list to be informed about future workshops, just send me an email to lindseyleelancaster@gmail.com with the subject WORKSHOP. I hope to be able to hold these a couple times a year.

Here are some photos that Joe and I took during The Workshop. We had a teaching time, then some lunch, then our fabulous model Taylor came to be our muse. You may remember her senior session here. It was a great day and I can't wait to do it again!

I am thinking of holding a workshop on July 17th (9am-1pm) in Concord for anyone who wants to learn how to take better pictures with your Digital SLR( Canon Rebels, Nikon D300's, etc). The key is to "get off green" and learn how to take photos on your camera's manual settings. If you have a Digital SLR camera and are confused about what all of the buttons mean, get dizzy reading the manual, or just always shoot on the automatic settings, this is a class for you! Want to take better photos of your kids playing soccer? Hate how your family vacation photos look? We will have a complete learning time, lunch together, and a practice time with real models. The class will be hands on and will help you on your way to more fabulous photos!

It is a last minute planning that I am trying to get together if I have enough of you interested. If you would like more information about this workshop or other workshops I am going to hold in the future, please send me an email at lindseyleelancaster@gmail.com.
And because every post is better with a picture- here is one of some more beach fun!
