I am working through blogging all of my Christmas Card mini-sessions over the next few weeks.  I have the amazing pleasure of getting to capture some pretty stellar families!  The Cote's are no different- beautiful and super stylish...especially thanks to daughter Chelsea who helped to coordinate everyone without being too matchy matchy.  We had perfect weather this particular mini-session day and I love that they now have gorgeous family photos together, something every mom wants...no matter how old the kids are!   Happy viewing!

And for those of you who are wondering...yes, my due date was yesterday...and yes I am still pregnant.  That is all I have to say about that.

What to Wear {part 3}

The last session reminded me how I needed to do another What to Wear post! Chelsea, blogger and fashionista extroidinairre, has come up with more great looks for me to share with you! I wanted to blog this set of outfits first because then if you look at the post below, it is a similar look so you can see how it translates in the photos. The Cousins stuck with greens and blues, but you can see that the camera loves those bold colors! I love the impact all of these primary colors make when layered together. The next set of outfits that I am going to blog is more subdued and boho-chic when put next to these- so it is really a matter of choice for you...but the most important thing is that you put a little bit of extra 'oomph' into your photo shoot outfit so that it is sure to photograph like a dream- no matter what sort of style you have. Enjoy this photo inspiration!

As promised, here is a set of clothes designed for a family or kid sessions designed by the talented Chelsea! All of these clothes came exclusively from Old Navy. You don't need to live down the street from a designer mall to get a look that is going to look great in your photos.

Again, these What to Wear posts are just to get you thinking about what to wear to your session. Color and layers really help to make your photos stand out and have an interesting look to them. Use these for inspiration when planning your next session!!! Happy Wednesday!

I have been wanting to do a post on what to wear for your sessions for quite some time now! Luckily, my ohsotalented and style-gifted friend Chelsea made some style boards to give you some clothing inspiration for your session. Trust me on this one, outfits make a gigantic difference in how your photos turn out! Creative lifestyle photography looks better in color...and in my opinion, more is more when it comes to accessories. Over the next couple of weeks I will be blogging outfit inspiration for families, kids, and even seniors to help you think about what you wear to your session in a different way. I especially can't wait to show you a whole family of outfits that nearly all came from old navy that Chelsea put together. I'm not talking about needing designer clothes here, but coordinating colors, patterns and textures to make your photos pop! Get excited!

And for those of you who think yea, those outfits look cute but I don't have anything like that- Chelsea will come to your house for an hour and coordinate from things you already have in your closet. Just ask me for more info. For now, take in this inspiration for a chic yet casual couples session. It is a modern approach to the t-shirt and jeans.
