I love my baby...I love my dog.  I love making our Christmas card!  Last year was a little bit of a bust as far as our Christmas card went.  I was about-to-pop-pregnant around the time a family card should have went out....so we decided to forgo a Christmas card(did I mention I was also super grumpy and super swollen and pretty much hating life?) for Sharpe's birth announcement which went out right after Christmas.  I knew this year I really wanted to make up for it!

Drumroll please........The Hartsell Christmas card 2012!

We used a Luxe Folded card- these cards are the best! Here's the digital copy and then the hard copy.  Our sweet Darby-bear was a trooper as always and didn't mind us torturing her for the better part of an hour.  Later I will do a couple of the outtakes where she was giving the stink eye to us for tying an antler to her head.  She makes the best reindeer!

We would like to thank the following people for their contribution to the card:  hobby lobby, wyoming, an elk, hillsville flea market, my mom, sleigh bells, Gena- my wonderful client for the hat and shoes(which I found the matching outfit to go with...a major inspiration for the shoot), goldendoodles everywhere, and the grinch.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! Love, the Hartsells!

I think it is time all of you have a little more Sharpe in your life:)  This little boy is such a joy to us!  We finally were able to take a quick photo shoot for his 9 month photos(and posting them when he is almost ten months).  We take them every three months with this antique stroller for scale, and every month with our sweet Darby-bear.  I haven't been so good about posting the ones with Darby, but I LOVE THEM together!  Sharpe thinks she is so fun, and well Darby just thinks anyone that moves is fun, so they are so cute together!  When I go in the mornings to get Sharpe out of his crib, Darby comes too and he gets so excited to see her and starts petting her over the crib.  At night when we are getting him ready for bed, Darby comes in and rests behind his rocker....and a few times here lately she has gotten trapped in there without us realizing it, only to see her later in the monitor! She loves this little boy!  It is such a fun time right now in our house.  Life is busy, very busy(especially these next 6 weeks), but we are soaking him in.  I am so excited about all the clients we have scheduled in the next little while, but I know I'll be grateful for the holidays and getting to spend some more down time as a family.  Enjoy these pictures, and yes, this is how he always is:)  I'm not even kidding...We are so blessed!

sharpe goes to the fair

Sharpe went to the fair and rode one ride:)  The Carousel!  We had a great time with friends taking in the sights. Our little buddy was 9 months this week!!  His picture with Darby to come, but we went to the Dr. today and he weight 23.8 lbs....still in the 99th percentile for height and weight.  We just love our big boy!!  Love this face below, he makes this face when he is really trying to figure something out!  He was pretty perplexed by the going around and up and down...but he held on like he knew what he was doing!!  There was no getting him to smile, he was too busy thinking:)

Sharpe goes to school

This poor blog!  These past two weeks I have really been trying to get organized and get lots of work out the door.  The fall is jammed packed, so I am working on all that we have coming up.  Trust me when I say there is so much goodness coming that you are going to be sick of so many new posts!:)

We had a big milestone in our house this week.  Sharpe went to school! Ok, the word school I use loosely.  It's really mother's morning out.  Twice a week this little buddy will go play with his new friends for a couple of hours.  He was so cute when I took him to "school"!  He LOVED all the toys(note to self, buy my poor child more toys and stop making him play with cardboard boxes and dvd cases).  He went right over to them and started playing with all the colorful things. This one little boy below(don't know his mom yet, so didn't put his whole face) was completely enamored with Sharpe and followed him around petting him and trying to give him hugs.  It was so cute and hilarious!

We are off to shoot another out of town wedding.  Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

Before we left the house.  I kept trying to get him to pose with his little book bag but he wasn't really interested.

Sharpe is very inquisitive.  He likes to look around and take everything in.  That's exactly what he was doing at school.  Some of the little ones were having a pretty hard time leaving mom and dad, so he wasn't really in a smiley mood.  He just kept looking around!  Below is the Sharpe with the little guy who loved him so much!  This is what they did for 5 minutes....Sharpe stared and little boy, and little boy kept hugging and petting him:)  Being a mom is fun!

My sweet little buddy turned 6 months last week!  We love him so much and he is the most fun little guy!  Full of personality already, he makes everyday so full of life and we love being his parents.  During wedding season, when all I feel like I am doing is staring at this computer screen and leaving town, it is good for my soul to slow down and spend time with him and not let the craziness of this time in business keep me from soaking him up. So yes, the blog may be behind and I wish I got those client photos out two days ago instead of today, but I don't want to blink and this time be over(as I hear that's how fast it goes from all the moms out there).  The reality is that I am first a mom, a business owner second, and he will only be my first baby that is 6 months old today.  Yes, today...not when wedding seasons is over.  So, I am giving myself lots of grace.  I am ok with being a little behind, slow to email, and constantly chasing my tail when I sit down to work.  This is my little boy.  This is the first year of his life.  He changes everyday....and I don't want to miss a thing.  Happy half-year birthday, Sharpe!  I love you!
