Winter weddings are so special...Especially this one!  Kelsey and Andrew share the same anniversary now that Joe and I do!  We loved getting to work with these two!  Our day may have been a little dreary, but both of their venues allowed for great portrait options even with a little wet weather.  They also opted for a first look which also aided in getting some great photos at their reception site before going to the church.  These two are now living life to the fullest up in NYC and I have to say I am just a little jealous of their big adventure as newlyweds.  Happy Monday everyone and don't forget to watch their Photo Fusion video at the end as well!

Minks are ALWAYS a good idea in winter!

Love this cake shot!

This wink;) adore.

Andrea and Steven's wedding day was a dream.  November can be so hit or miss, but their day was absolutely perfect in every way!  Sweet friends and family surrounded them in the beautiful chapel where they said I do and then the reception party didn't stop all night!  This wedding was another one of our "reunion" weddings- so many of our past brides/bridesmaids/people we have come to know and love were there!  That always makes things doubly fun! (if thats even possible).  Love these two, their love and devotion to each other and I am honored we got to spend this important day with them!  Here are some favorites and their photo-fusion video, do check it out! Happy Friday!

Megan and David are just the best!  I was so excited to be able to work out our schedules so that I could shoot their wedding!  Childress Vineyards is one of our absolute favorite venues and again it did not disappoint!  Little did these two know that in mid November it would be literally FREEZING, but WOW- we had THE MOST AMAZING LIGHT we shot in all year.  And really, the terribly cold temps didn't start until after dusk, so thankfully they did a first look and we had the majority of our photos taken before the ceremony in not too bad of temps.  And Megan's dress, I die.  It was one of my top 5 dresses of the whole year!  Truly unique and had the most perfect fit!  While I dream of spring sticking around for good, I will miss this golden light that only the fall can produce...Check out this beautiful fall wedding and be sure to watch their photo fusion video at the end as well.  Nothing makes me happier than two people in love!  Happy Monday!

How about this backdrop for a first look?! Love.

Some dramatic lighting in the barrel room at the vineyard:)

And a special thanks to these amazing vendors! Chelish Moore FlowersKerri Leigh Weddings + Events and Bella Amore Makeup.

We had the extreme pleasure of shooting not only 1, but 2!! weddings for Niyati and Shane!  After shooting their wedding in Ithaca, NY we shot their Indian Wedding in Raleigh, NC the next weekend!  These two are probably sick of us;) but we just love them to death!  I love that amazing colors and traditions surrounding their Indian Wedding.   There was eye candy everywhere we looked!  It was fun to be part of this celebration-Niyati had two amazing outfits (Shane, yours weren't too shabby, either!) and she is still my muse.  Niyati has the absolute best skin of anyone I have ever shot and I happen to think that Red is her color (although I am sure she wants it to be purple!)  Have a peak at their special day- I love the vibrancy and the beauty of all of it!  Have a peak at their fusion at the end, too!  Happy Weekend everyone!

  1. Niyati:

Incredible!!! You are truly gifted! My mom was hoping the picture of her with you from the reception would make the cut for the blog ;) I am picking that to go in her album for sure. We love you guys & your work so much. Blog stalker alert.

What can I even say??  Lindsay's been around forever.  Quite literally.  She met my sister in Pre-K and they've been best friends ever since.  And when you and your sister are only 17 months apart, by default her friends are your friends!  She's a good one.  We've grown up together and it's been an amazing time seeing Lindsay find someone who could not be more perfect for her.  Jason is a steady, steady rock.  Sweet, kind...and just what Lindsay needs.  See, she can be snarky and has amazingly quit witted- but then there's Jason- he mellows her out, loves animals (almost) as much as she does and keeps her grounded.  I'm allowed to say this because I've known her all but like 5 years of my whole life:)  Linds, thanks for being such a great lifelong friend to my sis.  Thanks for letting us be a part of your best day. And J, thanks for being you!  We love you both!

Check out their fusion video at the end, too!
