Kristin and Evan have been such a dream to work with! I actually hate that our "time" is over and their wedding is complete (although obviously happy for them!).  Kristin, she was probably one of my biggest "muse's" for 2015:)  Those eyes! And in front of the camera, she turns it on;)(don't be embarrassed, K, it's just true!)  Every session we had together was a blast!  Shooting out at The Farm at Brusharbor is always a treat- it's a little slice of the countryside right outside of Charlotte.  And in the fall? Perfection!  Anytime we have a wedding there we know it will be beautiful!  Please enjoy some of my favorites and don't forget to watch their fusion video at the end- it's become one of my favorites!  Happy Superbowl Weekend!

"First Touch" is always such a sweet moment!  Great alternative for those that want to have a moment together without truly "seeing" each other.

During their ceremony, the pastor had the two face the crowd for a big portion of time.  I LOVED IT! We were able to capture such great moments of their faces during the ceremony and get some genuine reactions that might have otherwise been concealed.

Trump National is such an awesome venue.  They have made quite a few changes over the years, especially since ownership changed, and I just love what they have done to the place.  It had a totally different vibe when it was known at The Point, but my favorite thing about the place now is the big white ceiling and the elegance that has been brought to the venue.  The getting ready room is so beautiful, it makes shooting the "Getting Ready" part of the day a dream….even in bad weather.  September and October of this year was the rainiest of wedding seasons we have ever shot, so I hated that for Leslie and Stefan, but what I loved about their day is that they didn't let wind and rain stop them from all the feels.  Doing a first look really helped us to be able to use the venue to it's best, lots of covered porches to shoot under to still allow for some natural light photography.  Their bridal party were troopers and everyone was just so pumped for these two to find each other.  Enjoy some of my favorites from their day, and don't forget to watch their photo fusion video at the end!

Ya'll, I directly fell off the blogging map there for a minute!  We managed our schedule this fall much better than usual, but I have been very much in a "keep my head down and focus" mode for the last 6 weeks!  I truly wanted to enjoy my holidays so blogging was the thing that I just had to let go of in an effort to get all my work done.  I have to say, though, success(with still room to grow) was achieved! I met all of my deadlines and still managed to get to do some fun things with the kids this holidays season vs. the usual crying in a ball at 1am at the studio because I am so overwhelmed fall/Thanksgivings/Christmases of yesteryear.  If you remember my year in review from last year, you can give me a high 5 when you see me for sticking to what I set out to do this fall, which started with schedule management a whole year ago:) My family has been happy to see me more during what is usually a very tortuous time around here.  I am thankful for all of the memories we have gotten to make and for a much happier household!

All that to say, there is SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL STUFF that needs to get on my blog!  The slow season is going to be filled with people in love for many weeks to come!  Please check back often as I will be back on a regular schedule sharing all of my beautiful, talented and thoughtful clients on the happiest days of their lives!

First up in this long run of happy and romantic days are Tabby and Josh! Their wedding was at The Arbors, which is one of our top preferred venues in all of western North Carolina. The property is unmatched we have been fortunate enough to shoot there a few times.  Tabby and Josh did do a first look which made for such a smooth and stress free day!  We love when our couples choose this option and can get straight to the reception after only a few post ceremony photos.  We loved working with Lisa Pleasant, who kept the day running on schedule and made sure everything was in its place.

Here are a few of our favorites, and don't forget to check out their photo fusion video at the end:) As always, shooting video alongside our photography makes our heart happy.  Enjoy!

Working with Katie and Jeff over the last year has been such a pleasure.  I love this couple!  Katie used to teach with Joe and I was more than honored when she asked us to photograph her intimate Linville Ridge Country Club wedding.  Set on the side of a mountain, everything Katie planned was just beautiful.  Their family came from near and far and Katie and Jeff rolled out the red carpet for them with a weekend full of amazing events.  The thing with intimate weddings is that the bride and groom can truly be present with their guests, and that was definitely the case here.  Katie set aside time for her whole family to have group portraits and everyone danced the night away.  We were so happy to capture it all, but mostly, to see Katie just so incredibly happy!  They both "caught" each other and I will never forget this day! Enjoy just some of my favorites and don't forget to watch their fusion at the end, it is now one of my top favorites we have ever done. Happy Thursday!

It's hard to believe we are already nearing the end of our wedding season!  We still have quite a few weddings to shoot, but this fall I managed our schedule a little better than falls of the past, so it doesn't seem QUITE as nuts as usual. It's a really great feeling!  Summer seems like a lifetime ago, somehow.  Sarah Beth and Jeff had such an amazing summer wedding....but I will say without question that I DO NOT miss the heat!  Theirs was a hot one, with summer storms blowing through all day, but it still ended up perfectly.  The skies parted for our romantics and their guests danced the night away, quite literally! Enjoy some of my favorites from the day and don't forget to watch their fusion video at the end.  Happy Wednesday!
