We absolutely LOVED shooting Lori and Jeff's beautiful wedding this past fall.  The Parlour at Manns Chapel was the most darlingest(yup, thats a word) venues we have shot at in such a long time.  Five minutes outside Chapel Hill,  this chapel is little white church meets garden party meets tradition meets modern.  Pretty much amazing!  Lori spent so much time curating such a special and beautiful day- have a look!  And watch their fusion video at the end to see even more details.  It was truly a pleasure!

One day, my house is going to not be chaos, I won't be pregnant, and I promise my sweet, sweet blog will have lots of attention again!  The lack of posting is not for lack of amazing things to show, just a lack of physical hours in a day!  We are on the downhill of the major part of our renovation(feel free to follow along progress here: @downtownacres on instagram)- Ie: we got a kitchen! But there are lots of little details that have kept me busy on top of working on top of being preggo!  My focus has been on getting client work out the door, but man have I missed sharing so much of it!  I also need to do an update of my little men- they are getting so big!  Look for that soon!

I am so glad that I got Kristin and Matt's fusion done so I can share their amazing wedding!  As usual, The Farm at Brusharbor was the perfect backdrop and we loved every second of their beautiful day!  I have the best brides + their families! Thank you so much for trusting us with your forever memories!  Have a look at some favorites and their fusion at the end.  Happy Monday!

Love this sweet couple! Joe has known Lee's family long before there was a Lee!  Lee's parents were Joe's neighbors growing up and have remained lifelong friends.  We were thrilled to shoot Lee and Kelsey's wedding!  Kelsey was a quick fit into the family and these two have such a special love!  It would happen that their wedding was during the one weekend the whole entire south had a snow freak out!  I, however, think this made the day just that more magical.  It's pretty rare that in the south(and Georgia no less!) you get to have snow on the ground at your wedding...so special!  The Wheeler House is a beautiful venue with all the southern charm one can muster- it made for a beautiful backdrop.  Enjoy these photos of a beautiful couple that I know are going to do great things in their life and marriage!  Love you both! Be sure to watch their amazing fusion video at the end of this post!

As I sit here this week with all of this beautiful weather, I can't believe that winter is essentially over! I'm excited for spring weddings and portraits, but winter is my time to recoup, spend more time with the kids and lay low for a bit, so spring coming means we have to get back into our more chaotic routine!  Wedding seasons is not for the faint of heart!  I had lots of goals for winter, including blogging all of my back logged weddings, so I better hop to! Many more things on the list to accomplish!

We loved getting to work with Lindsey and Garren!  In the rainiest fall wedding season we've ever had, hurricane Joaquin hit on their wedding day.  What could have been disastrous turned out alright when the downpour and wind parted for 15 minutes after their ceremony and we were able to get some natural light portraits in addition to our indoor shots!  These two rolled with it and had so much love pouring onto them from their family and friends!  Check out some of my favorites and their fusion video at the end! Happy Wednesday!

The back of Lindsey's dress! Love!

Meghan and Chris had such a vision for their wedding! They adore uptown and planned the perfect engagement session there and then the perfect wedding!  I love shooting in-between the buildings and alleyways in uptown Charlotte.  There is such different light there and the textures and buildings make for so many vignettes, we are able to really make use of our photo time in a very small space!  The biggest highlight of their night(besides getting married, obviously) was the HUGE surprise Meghan had for Chris when she had Norm the Niner, the UNCC Mascot, and Sir Purr, the Panther Mascot, come into the reception!  Everyone was thrilled and it was so fun! Chris had no clue and was totally surprised..and this man lives for football...so I think it was a total home run! Enjoy some of my favorites from their day and be sure to watch the photo fusion at the end.  When love and light and weather all come together, I am one happy photographer! Happy Tuesday!
