With the new addition to our family this year, I really wanted to capture some really special photos of the three of us- especially for our Christmas card. Last years card really just turned into a New Year's client card and didn't even have any photos of us on it, so I was going for some redemption. I knew scheduling a photo session with another photographer just wasn't in the cards with our schedule this fall, so we headed down to the farm where we held the mini-sessions and took these shots with a remote trigger. That was an adventure, but I love how everything turned out....glowy photos was just what I wanted! Merry Christmas! Love, Joe, Lindsey and Darby.

I have so many things coming up on the blog, but for now I am just treading water getting bridal portraits and weddings out the door. But, get excited for all the goodness to come for weeks and weeks! For now, here is the real star of this operation.

    Joe or Darby?

It is really absolutely ridiculous how obsessed I am with this sweet little face! I just want to squeeze her and hug her and love her and talk to her and kiss her all day.....really. We just hopped outside to take a couple of photos since all of her most recent photos have consisted of an iphone and of really horrible overhead light. Darby is growing and becoming such a sweet little bear, she weighs about 25 lbs now. I miss her teeny tiny puppy days but am loving this stage right now. I happen to think that she is the smartest dog in the whole world.....I know most people say this, too....but we actually have proof because the trainer at Pestmart agrees. Joe isn't here right now to take the holding photos, so that will be next time. If you can stand her cuteness, take a look!

Darby takes a swim

We took Darby to little Badin for the first time on Labor Day. She loved the water and had her very first swim. Lucky for her her mother was there to capture the moment...this is going in her baby book for sure...

I'm pretty sure it was labor day not memorial day :) haha

It's true, Darby actually steals the cuteness from other dogs. Ok, I get it.I know. I am already THAT girl. But really, how can you help it when you have THIS to look at?! I don't even try. I am in love. with a dog. She is the most snugglycuteamazingpreciousdelicious little bear in the whole world. For those of you who can't get enough, here is more Darby!

Since she is technically "Joe's dog", we are going to try and get these two shots of her at each of her photo shoots. It will be fun to watch as she stops being little and turns into a much bigger snugglycuteamazingpreciousdelicious big bear.

It was pretty hot, so she was panting a lot. I couldn't get her to make my favorite face which is closed mouth and ears perked up. Next time.
