Hef and CT got married this past Saturday! Besides being one of the most fun dance party receptions I have ever seen, Hef made an absolute stunning bride. More of their wedding to come this week, but for now here are some bridal shots.

    Hef and CT,
Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful evening.
You were a beautiful bride Hef.
We served 310 pieces of Grilled Chicken, 40 pans of Mac and Cheese the same of Green Beans and many many salads. I guess everyone loved it because almost every plate was empty.
Thanks for trusting me with the Wedding Cake also.
I wish you and CT much happiness.
    Luv ya lots, Kathy

Whittney's little Yorkie Jackson is really more like her child. She dressed him up in this little tux (complete with boutonniere) and brought him to the shoot.

I would like for someone to please come and remove the mountain of junk off my desk. thanks.

With the start of the new year I have been trying really hard to get organized. Translation: make everything have it's own folder (in my computer and in life), update my website, categorize favorite images, figure out quickbooks, make new marketing materials...the list goes on. It is quite overwhelming. I need one of those organization specialists, except for I need them to understand the digital world as well as the physical. Any takers:)? Oh yea, and Joe and I are doing our first bridal show next weekend (why didn't someone tell us we were crazy!) So, on top of my new organizational goals, our garage has a 10x10 foot room in it that looks like it came right out of anthropologie catalogue that Joe made from scratch. He's so handy. Click here for more information on the bridal show that is January 24th in Charlotte. All the great wedding professionals will be there to help you make your day perfect, we'd love to see you there!

All this to say that while going through all of the old files I saw photos that I love that I never shared. I am going to try and highlight photos that never made it to the blog or website that I think are nice and pretty. Starting with: Kelly. Have a great weekend!

I'll try really hard not to cry as I insert the pictures of my beautiful best friend. Standing beside her on Saturday as she married Daniel was such a special moment that I will never forget. As the preacher talked about growing old together... folding laundry...snuggling on the couch...figuring out each other...eating pizza together...I couldn't help but tear up thinking of Leah getting to experience those things that make a marriage and a life together. I have a ton of images to show you from the wedding (you didn't think I could put my camera down the WHOLE time did you?) that I will get up later in the week. In the meantime, enjoy Leah's bridal photos. She is an artist, so we set out to do some bridals that were uniquely her. I think we hit the nail on the head. Further proof that I get to photograph some of the best brides in the world!

Carolina Bride: Molly

I met Molly in Monroe a couple of weeks ago for her bridal session. People ask me all of the time what is my favorite type of thing to shoot....of course, I love weddings, it's at the top of the list, but if I had to pick the thing that is the least stressful and the most fun, I would have to say bridals. I love getting to be there when the bride gets to see what she is going to look like on her wedding day- usually for the first time. I love having the freedom and flexibility to get that beautiful bride in all sorts of fun spots and locations.

There were many spots on our bridal shoot and I had favorites from all of them! We headed first to where Molly and Joe were to have their rehearsal dinner. It was an awesome old house that has been renovated. We shot on the grounds and also some inside- it was too beautiful to resist. I can't wait to show you more of their wedding photos this week! In the meantime though, check out Molly and her quiet confidence that radiates from these pictures.

At the end of our shoot we went to a field by Molly's house where she played a lot growing up. These ended up being some of my favorites!
