In honor of the first day of spring, I'm taking it back to one of our winter brides!(should have made this post last week to sneak it into winter!:)) I loved working with Carly, Mark and their entire family. Carly is a girl after my own heart, loving a bold lip and a timeless sense of style! She is a fabulous news anchor, and the camera just loves her! It was a crazy windy day so I was thankful for her up-do and her can-do spirit!  Here is a peak at some of our favorites from her bridal portrait at Childress Vineyards.  Enjoy- and happy Spring!!!

Ya'll, I am straight embarrassed by the lack of posting!  Im so sorry! In the new year, I promise to do better:)  It't not for lack of amazing things to show you, just a lack of sanity and time during this move/transition/remodel we have been going through since the better part of August. It's been said that moving is one of life's biggest events, and while I have moved plenty of times before, this one has kicked my rear like none other! The 2 kid equation plus 2 businesses plus a total house remodel is no joke- but there is light at the end of the tunnel.(PS- you can follow some of our remodel on instagram at @downtownacres)  I am excited over these winter months, which tend to be slow in the photography world, to catch up on some of the amazing moments we were thankful to be a part of in 2016.  There's going to be some jumping around and some consecutive ordering of things, but the main thing is I want to get it all up here before another wedding season is upon us!  Stay tuned these next few weeks for all of the wedding goodness you can stand!  I also hope to be revealing a new senior website- there just hasn't seemed to be the right place to showcase that side of my business, so a site dedicated to that is in the works, too!

Mollie and Brock had the most amazing winter wedding.  November can be a crap shoot, but they had golden light all day- I can't wait to share!  Here are a few favs from her bridal portrait session.  We shot these on a friend of the families property- little did their family friend know he was going to get hook/line/sinkered into being my lighting assistant for the entire shoot:)  It made for a such a fun day!  Enjoy! and Happy New Year!

I love that Susan has embraced being a true southerner:)  Raised in Ohio, the land of the "what is a bridal portrait?", I was so excited Susan wanted to embrace all things Southern.  Her wedding this past weekend was a dream and I am so pumped for her and Kenton! Here are just a few of my favorites from our session- Susan just exudes the best energy and I love it!  Happy Monday!
