On Mondays, Sharpe and I try to lay low at the house and I try to get a lot done. He is usually exhausted from a busy weekend and still takes two long, good naps, so I try to get orders processed, do my editing, and catch up on email backlogged from the weekend. Today it is so cold and dreary outside that I was SO EXCITED when I saw there was a Twilight Movie Marathon on tv! It's the small things, people. I know I am probably a little too old to care, but I LOVE IT! I'm team Edward, in case anyone wanted to know;)

Getting back to work- as promised here are some of my favorite photos from my Day After session with April and Cody. I was dark before their ceremony even started, so getting natural light Bride and Groom Portraits of these two just wasn't possible. A Day After session is just that- they got all gussied up the day after the wedding and we went and took some beautiful portraits! If you are a bride and groom who don't want to see each other before the ceremony AND it is going to be dark outside after your ceremony, then this is something for you to think about. Brrrr...it was a pretty chilly end to December but no amount of cold could stop the warmth that surrounded April and Cody on their wedding day:) And I really meant that! April is one of my oldest friends and I could not be happier for her and Cody! Truly! I've dreamed of who I thought April would end up with for years, and I do think it is fairly safe to say that Cody trumps everyone's even best dreams for April. They are THAT good together! I am just now realizing that I haven't shared April's bridal portraits....AND their Day After session! Yes, get excited, more of this couple to come! Having an evening, winter wedding, it was so great of these two to realize that we would be limited in what we could do after the ceremony photo-wise, so they decided to book a day after session. Look for those first of the week, but for now, enjoy some of my favorites from their perfectly sweet wedding day. You two, I can't wait to keep "doing life" together. Love you!

Hello there! We are busy little bee's in June wedding season over here, but I am still wanting to get LOTS of sessions from the fall up on the blog and I am absolutely determined to do so! Here are some of my favorites from April's bridal portrait session. I loved working with April and Cody on their wedding and I loved our bridal session together. We shot these at Vanlandingham estates and it was an AMAZING choice, especially in the fall. I love going there and look forward to shooting a fall wedding there this year! Enjoy some of my favorite shots!

Love these two! It was awfully cold on the day of our shoot, but that just made the snuggles so much better:) I have known April and Cody since middle and high school, and I could not be more thrilled that they have found each other. Truly, I love everything about them as a couple! April deserves Cody as much as Cody deserves April...and that is such a beautiful thing. And speaking of love...Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you all enjoy a day filled with hugs and kisses!

Meet sweet baby boy Brody! His parents, Cody and April, couldn't be more in love with their little peanut! This darling little boy came just a tiny bit early and was a whopping 5 lbs 5 oz! Such a little nugget! Coming from the mom who had a 9 pounder, I am just in awe of his perfect little self! April is one of my oldest friends and I can't wait to share this stage of life with her- bringing up BOYS! Sharpe loves Brody already and I can't wait for them to grow up together + the next Hartsell boy, too. Many fun adventures ahead! Here are some of my favorites from his session- he was a perfect angel, sleepy the whole time, and I will say he has THE best coloring! I love him!
